singularity

i wonder sometimes  whether the ‘singularity’ that futurists muse about isn’t as much about the fusion of mind and computer as the fusion of physical and software on a broader basis.  when anything we dream of can be physically realized, then how dynamic will our enironment be?  we will constantly reconfigure everthing around us.  i wonder whether my feeble attempts to meld physical and digital imagery are simply primitive precursors to art that is a melange of light mirage and printed physical media carved from dreams.

I have no doubt that true to a William Gibson cyberpunk plot, that the future will differentiate haves from have nots based upon the warp and weft of their own superimposed virtual realities but I wonder more about how digital mastery of the physical will shape our baseline reality.
